The Vertigo varietal combination has a dual function. For since the Merlot grape variety from Friuli, it is on the one hand a kind of link between Friuli and the rest of the world. The contribution of Cabernet Sauvignon also gives the wine balance and complexity, affecting the structure and aging potential to Vertigo. Varietal: Merlot – Cabernet Sauvignon Winemaking: The grapes are carefully destemmed and crushed. The fermentation takes place with maceration on the skins at controlled temperature in stainless steel containers. Run frequent mixing, for a period of about three weeks, in order to extract color and aromas from the skins. wine is then racked. Ageing: Maturation for twelve months in steel and small French oak barrels. The bottled wine is normally aged in temperature-controlled rooms for at least four months. Color: red almost impenetrable purplish. Bouquet: penetrating, cool and decided. Plum, wild strawberry, musk, lemon blossom, red currant, tobacco and black pepper, balsamic reminders. Taste: smooth and engaging from the attack accompanied by an elegant flavor and lively and pleasant tannins. cocoa, raspberry, dates, cumin, cherries, hint of medicinal herbs that recall the nose. Serving suggestions: Savoury pasta dishes, meat, beef, roast pork, mature cheeses. Alcohol content: 13% vol.
