Il Ristorante Il Portico a Kensington High Street ha cucinato specialità regionali italiane fin da quando è stato inaugurato nel 1960 da Pino Chiavarini. Ancora oggi è gestito dalla stessa famiglia, i fratelli James e Francesca si ispirano pesantemente dalle influenze dei loro antenati fornendo cibo italiano semplice e autentico dalla loro regione di origine, ovvero l'Emilia Romagna e anche oltre.

Without question, this is my favourite restaurant in London. I recommend Il Portico to family, friends, colleagues and have comfort knowing, it will never disappoint!! The atmosphere is premium with the clean, crisp, white table cloths, yet very intimate, warm and friendly. The restaurant is filled with returning locals, who are greeted (by name) from the affable staff. It is truly a quality experience from start to finish. The food and wine is absolutely delicious - the perfect restaurant for any occasion. Premium atmosphere, but not intimidating... Quality food and wine, without the price tag... An Italian restaurant, owned and managed by an Italian family.... doesn't get any better!
