Valentina was founded in East Sheen in 1991 where today, the Zoccola and Arcari families share their life-long passion for food and wine.

Our families hail from Saint Elia Fiumerapido, a small village near Monte Cassino southeast of Rome, where we have farmed the land for generations.  We still return home annually to harvest olives from the family grove for our own-label olive oil, and source our other fresh ingredients from the native soil.  Most of our vast range of products – be it in the delicatessens or the restaurants – are, born of tradition and original skills, directly from our humble beginnings in the Italian countryside.

We believe there is no substitute for evolution and our knowledge, expertise and passion for food and wine have been passed on through generations.  Valentina is our way of bringing an authentic taste of Italy to the UK  – to serve recipe dishes in our restaurants that have been handed down through the families.

Valentina, a name shared with the daughter of one of the founding families, is now a thriving business. Inspired by the tradition of Italian neighbourhood haunts, Pizzicotto is the lively sister restaurant to the 50 year old Kensington gem ‘Il Portico’. A local Pizzeria and Osteria where the humble pizza & neighbourhood cuisine is reimagined & the tradition of cooking over wood is celebrated.

Hi, my name is Andreazzurra and I am 31.

I was born in Catania, Italy, and since I was a child I have been attracted by the world of music and its great power of connecting people and cultures.
I’m a singer, a performer and a songwriter. I have been dealing with vocal coaching for about 12 years.
I took part in various TV talent shows in Italy like X Factor and The Voice of Italy 2014.

Attracted by the wonderful world of vocal technique and voice, at the age of 19, I began studying laryngology and speech therapy, attending some internships and courses of various voice professionals, including Dr. Franco Fussi and Dr. Ugo Cesari. I graduated at Pop&Rock Trinity College Music where I also became a trainer for the various grades. I studied the VMS method for singing teachers with Loretta Martinez at the Melody School in Rome. I also attended the Voice To Teach course, an intensive course for singing teachers in Bologna and after a careful examination, I was included in the vocal coaches register as a qualified teacher of modern singing.
