Renato Pinna was born in Sassari (Italy). From an early age, he manifested a keen interest in all forms of art, especially in music and the visual arts. In 2005 he founded the band Souls of Diotima and he recorded two albums produced by record label, which he reached considerable professional goals.
He approached the world of photography in 2009 buying his first camera and began working as a photographer’s assistant for the photographer / artist Gianluca Vassallo.
In his artistic career, Renato focuses on street photography, photojournalism and fine art photography, as he uses the camera as a means of expression.
Since 2011, Renato has been studying at Academy of Fine Arts in Sassari, in graphics and design; during this course, he got in touch the teacher of photography Salvatore Ligios, which will begin with a temporary and occasional collaboration with the Association of Palatu Fotografia.
