I am a media and communications professional and DPO (Data Protection Officer), with over 10 years’ experience in the industry. I am specialized in Italy, Sicily and the Italian community in London which is the biggest around the world.
I am working as a contributor for a variety of news organizations including BBC (radio and online) and The Mail On Sunday . I work as translator (English to Italian) for independent magazines.
I am a regular contributor of Fondazione Migrantes (CEI, the Vatican) about Italians abroad.
I am also a media consultant and during the last 4 years I have worked as a Press Officer and Communications Assistant for numerous private clients including the Federation of Italian Chefs in the UK, TastingSicilyUK and CinemaItaliaUK. I volunteered as press assistant for the Sandford St. Martin Awards in 2017 and 2016, and at the V&A in 2017.
My international working life developed my commitment to breaking stereotypes and strengthening solidarity. As journalist for 20 years in Sicily and London, I founded a community of 100 Italian journalists, and a community of Londoners with a passion for Sicily called “SicilyCulture”.
Earlier, European Students’ Forum work and my Erasmus scholarship led to connections around the world.
