I trained in Italy before as Clinical Psychologist at the Sapienza of Rome and then as a Psychotherapist Psychotherapist. In the UK I also learned how to use cognitive-behavioural techniques and completed mental-therapy training (MBT).
In addition to doing this job privately , I work for several years at the Maudsley Hospital (NHS) as a Clinical Psychologist / Senior Therapist. I am also part of teaching staff of the International School of Psychotherapy in Institutional Setting (SIPSI) at the Agostino Gemelli Hospital in Rome.
Trying to adapt the different techniques learned over the years to the needs of my clients, I use an integrated approach since I deeply believe in the diversity of each individual and his/her needs. The psychotherapeutic technique has to make concrete changes to be considered effective, so transparency and sharing of goals are the basis of my method.
I work with issues such as:
- Anxiety (panic attacks, phobias, intrusive thoughts, obsessions, compulsions, ICT)
- Depressive symptoms
- Relational issues with both individual and couple approach addictions
- Food disorders
- Psychosomatic disorders
- Management of chronic conditions
I apply discounted rates to those who are affected by chronic physical conditions.
