Dr. Niro Arunachalam

Dr Meena Arunachalam is fully trained Dermatologist and Venereologist. She graduated from the University of Florence medical school in Italy where she completed her training in Dermatology. During her experience in Italy she gained knowledge in mycology and medical dermatology (focusing on blistering diseases, connective tissue disease), nail disorders, and vitiligo. During her training, she spent 1 year in the UK at both Oxford and The Whittington Hospitals, where she received advanced training in dermoscopy, which allows for the early detection of skin cancer and advanced skin surgery. She has presented internationally and has won numerous awards. She has also published more than 50 articles with an impact factor of above 100. She moved to London in 2016 where she began working as a consultant at The Royal London where she was lead of the phototherapy unit and UCLH Hospitals where she led the severe eczema service. She is board certified in the UK and is working as a substantive consultant the The Royal Free Hospital in Hampstead. She treats all aspects of dermatology and venerology in both adults and children including acne, psoriasis, dermoscopy and skin surgery.
