Art Psychotherapist offers individual Art Psychotherapy sessions for adults and children and wellbeing art-based workshops. Based in the art studio “Bee Creative Art Hub” in the beautiful Abbey Mills (Colliers Wood, South West London). Art Psychotherapy is a type of psychotherapy that uses art making as main way of communication. I worked with people of all ages, from children with emotional and behavioural issues in mainstream schools and children with Special Needs in SEN Schools, to younger and older Adults in NHS settings. I am a positive, thoughtful and empathetic person. I value the uniqueness of each person, adapting the art therapeutic intervention according to individual needs. My multi-cultural work experiences, including Italy, Poland, Australia, Uganda and the UK, have enabled me to develop excellent skills in communication and understanding. I am using a person-centred approach to enable a safe and non-judgemental therapeutic space. I am supporting my clients to explore and possibly transform areas of difficulties as well as deeper understanding of self. My training was based on a psychodynamic approach, informed by Jungian analytical psychology. My theoretical orientation is also based on Mentalization-Based Treatment, psych-education, mindfulness and Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I believe that Art Psychotherapy can provide a unique framework in which the possibility of working with uncomfortable experiences through imagery is attainable.
