Located a little away from the centre of Covent Garden but still close to the main theatres and the Royal Opera House, Da Mario is really well worth discovering for yourself.  Da Mario is a genuine family-run Italian restaurant that encapsulates true Italian hospitality.  We are small, intimate and homely serving broad selection of Italian home-style cuisine, exquisite homemade pasta, delectable homemade desserts and good Italian wines.

We booked this on the basis of the excellent Trip Advison Reviews and closeness to the Shaftesbury Theatre. What a brilliant choice. Saying that it was very Italian seems stupid but true. In an era of "chain" Italuan Restaurants this is "real" Italian in the heart of a very cosmopolitan London. Great traditional Italian food, well served by Italian staff and a great buzz about the whole place. It's the perfect location for the theatres and Covent Garden but just a little bit off the main track, which maybe accounts for the great value for money (by central London standards). Really recommend this restaurant but you need to book if you want the pre-theatre time slots.
